I love this kind of thing...
dreamcamera:
Looking through old snapshots, I noticed one of me photographing my husband at a castle in France, taken by our friend Trisha, and thought, “Hey, I know exactly which picture I was taking at that moment.”
Viola.
Kinda cool to compare.

A not uncommon photo lab conversation...
Customer: I need this scanned at 300dpi.
Lab Worker: We can do that, how big do you want it?
Customer: 300dpi
Lab Worker: No problem, 300dpi is a standard resolution for printing - what size do you want it to be?
Customer: I was told it had to be 300dpi... it's for a [newspaper/magazine/website].
Lab Worker: Ok, we can figure it out. How big is it going to be in the [newspaper/magazine/website]?
Customer: 300dpi... they're going to use it for an article about [some subject]
Lab Worker: No... what physical size? How many inches?
Customer: I don't know... all they said was 300dpi.
Lab Worker: How about we scan it so it will fill the standard piece of paper and that way if it's too big they can just downsize it fit.
Customer: I don't know... they were very specific about it being 300 dpi. Do you think I should call them?
Lab Worker: No, you don't need to call them - I'm sure they will be fine if they have to make it smaller.
Customer: Are you sure? I don't want them to reject it.
Lab Worker: We do this kind of thing all the time, I'm sure they'll be ok with it.
Customer:
Lab Worker: Really... it will be ok. They deal with files like this all day long.
Customer: Well, if you say it will be ok. How much is this going to cost?
Lab Worker: This print is clean and in good shape, so it's only going to be $6 to scan it.
Customer: $6! Wow! I didn't think it would cost that much... well ok. Go ahead. Can you e-mail the file to them when you're done?
Lab Worker: That's no problem, we charge $5 to e-mail files.
Customer: So this is going to cost me $11! Wow... I'm not sure. I'm just going to bring it to [office supply store], and have them scan it.
Cherry Blossoms in Glasgow
dreamcamera:
During my trip, I spent one day and night in Glasgow. Walking by the University of Glasgow, I spotted cherry blossom trees in bloom - one of my favorite things to photograph. All of these photos are of the same tree from different angles.
